On April 6th,, CSGC president Tang Dengjie had a meeting with Ford president and CEO Mark Fields in Chongqing. Tang Dengjie said, through long-term cooperation, CCAG and Ford have established close friendship. In recent years, Chang’an Ford has made great progress and excellent achievement in China’s automobile market. In 2017, China’s automobile market will continue its low speed growing trend, which is a severe challenge to the vehicle producers. Under the situation, the both sides should remain commitment in further enhancing cooperation, focusing on strategic marketing plan, accelerating development of new products, improving management system, innovating business mode of vehicle sales, and increasing investment in new energy vehicle, so as to make better achievement. Xu Liuping emphasized, under the new market environment, the both sides should remain focus on the development of new products, especially the development of SUV. Meanwhile, the both sides should pay more attention on the market development in second and third class cities and even in counties. Ford should coordinate its global core resource, control cost index, and increase investment in new energy vehicle, so as to lay the foundations for the performance growth in both sides.
Mark Fields fully recognized the consistent excellent market performance of Chang’an Ford. He emphasized Ford attached great importance to China’s automobile market. In the new period of US presidential transition and China’s high speed growth, Ford would focus on the target of 32813 Vision, coordinate its global core resource, and increase investment in China’s automobile market. Through further enhancing cooperation with CCAG, Ford would accelerate the launching of new products and provide better products and service to Chinese customers.
After the meeting, the Mark Fields delegation experienced the new type vehicles of Chang’an CS95, CS55 and Lingxuan.
